Dr. Schultz received her veterinary degree from University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana in 2005. She initially joined California Veterinary Specialists back in 2006 as a staff emergency doctor with an interest in exotic animals after completing a rotating small animal internship at the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center. In 2013 she moved to North Carolina as a senior emergency clinician, teaching interns and students while supporting her fiancé as he pursued his veterinary training. In 2014 they were happy to move back to California so she could rejoin her CVS family and to be closer to friends and family.
In her spare time, Dr. Schultz enjoys reading, running, hiking and spending time with her fiancé and their domestic shorthaired cat, Alethea.
